A march and rally in support of Freemantle care workers in Barnet, north west London has been organised by the local Unison union branch.
Around 200 residential and daycare workers have been in dispute with their employer Fremantle. They have been on strike four times after being told that their contracts would be rewritten, leading to wage cuts of up to 30 percent.
The march assembles at 12 noon at Watling Park (near Burnt Oak tube). The rally will be held at St Alphage Church Hall, Playfield Road, Edgware. Speakers at the rally will include Heather Wakefield, Linda Perks, Jon Rogers and Geoff Martin.
