Socialist Worker has received a message from a Palestinian activist living in the West Bank. He wishes to remain anonymous for fear of retribution. The message reads:

'Palestinian Authority security forces controlled by Fatah have been working around the clock to stop demonstrations in the West Bank in solidarity with Gaza.

'The cities of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Hebron and Nablus have all borne witness to this.

'The security forces use members dressed in civilian clothes to pose as protesters and infiltrate the demonstrations.

'If someone shouts a slogan against the Palestinian Authority or a calls for a march on an Israeli checkpoint, they are dragged off into the nearest security vehicle.'
