As Labour cuts public services... Join our fightback

Gordon Brown plans to slash spending on our public services by billions of pounds. Cuts are already hitting working class people – but important groups of workers are fighting back.
Lecturers at Tower Hamlets College and refuse workers in Leeds are on all-out strike, while post workers have organised a series of strikes that are shaking their bosses.
Trade unionists, students and unemployed workers will come together to march against Labour at the party’s conference in Brighton this Sunday. A number of unions and organisations have backed the jobs, education and peace protest.
“I’m going to rage against Labour,” said Kate , a striking lecturer at Tower Hamlets College. “We want to give hope to other trade unionists and people fighting to protect education.”
Chad, a postal worker from Oxfordshire, is sick of the attacks. He said, “There are plenty of reasons for us to be angry.
“I’m going to be on the demonstration in Brighton. I want to meet the delegations of workers from some of the inspiring struggles we’ve seen this year.”
Kate adds, “The last thing we need is cuts, especially in the middle of a recession.”
The protest in Brighton can show others that people are fighting, and inspire them to join the resistance.
