A fire boss came a cropper last week after he ordered a London firefighter to take off a sticker with the slogan “Sack Coleman, not firefighters”.
The boss ordered the station manager to tell a firefighter to take off the sticker lampooning the Tory toad—but they both refused.
“Then they sent in the ‘discipline team’,” says Socialist Worker’s source.
“But by the time they got there, every firefighter on the station was wearing one of the stickers—and lots of firefighters in neighbouring stations too.
“It just goes to show—firefighters stick together.”
