US blood money in Afghanistan

The US has had to pay compensation for the people killed and injured when US troops murdered 17 civilians earlier this month.

They paid £31,500 for each villager killed and £6,931 for each person wounded.

This is small change compared to the £307 billion that the US has spent on the occupation of Afghanistan.

The military still deny that more than one soldier was involved in the slaughter.
