Workers from Guys and St Thomas’ NHS trust in London protested on Wednesday of last week against a potential Sainsbury’s takeover of pharmacy services.

Gareth, a Unite union rep, told Socialist Worker about the weekly protests. “We’ve already seen our pathology services part-privatised by Serco,” he said.

“We’re facing eight job losses and it’s going to affect patient care.”
