Workers at K College in Kent struck for half a day on Monday of this week against plans to axe 145 jobs.
Some 57 jobs have already gone this year. The action involved teachers in both the NUT and UCU unions.
Around 150 strikers held a protest outside a governors meeting on the strike day. Principal of the college Bill Fearnon resigned at the meeting. He will leave the college at Christmas.
Governors met to discuss cuts which could see the Folkestone site of the college sold off. The UCU has warned that campuses in Ashford and Dover could be sold too.
