Workers at both Amnesty International’s UK branch and its International Secretariat (IS) are set to strike together on Tuesday of next week.
There were over 150 people picketing the IS office in Islington, north London last month, and others at sites around the world. They are in dispute over Amnesty’s refusal to respect longstanding redundancy agreements.
At Amnesty UK workers have struck twice since September against job cuts. The two disputes are separate, but both linked to an ongoing restructuring programme inside the organisation. This will be the first time they have coordinated their action.
