Management and staff began panicking at Allerton Grange high school in Leeds today, Monday, when rumours spread that students were preparing to walk out in solidarity with Gaza.
But the campaign gathered steam as students spread the message. Up to 70 spontaneously ran through the school as staff tried to lock doors and block corridors. As many as 50 escaped out the fire exits shouting “Free Palestine!”
We can see the inhumane treatment of the Palestinians and we will not be silenced. We are all Palestinians—and we send solidarity and good luck to all those who fight for justice.
The Stop the War Coalition and Palestine Solidarity Campaign have called a national demonstration on Saturday 24 November in central London. Assemble outside Downing Street at 12 noon for a march to the Israeli Embassy. More details at www.stopwar.org.uk
