Over 100 people joined a rally outside Battersea Park Adventure Playground on Saturday of last week (see above).
Wandsworth council has threatened to demolish the playground. But an occupation has so far held off the demolition for a week.
The Wandsworth Against Cuts group called the rally in support of the occupation.
It was the biggest event of the campaign so far, and drew in many local children.
Speakers and entertainers addressed the crowd.
Many local people described how workers and activities in the playground had given them a safe environment to grow up in.
Others described how Tory councillors had claimed the council had no responsibility for providing facilities for young people in the area.
Some 5,000 people have so far signed a petition against the demolition launched by Wandsworth Against Cuts.
Wandsworth council will seek a court injunction to halt the occupation at a court hearing on Thursday of this week.
Protesters plan to lobby the County Court opposite East Putney tube station from 9.30am.
