Lecturers across Britain held protests in solidarity with four sacked lecturers at Halesowen college in the Black Country on Friday of last week.
Bosses said that students of the four, who include UCU union branch secretary Dave Muritu, had failed to reach their potential.
Yet lesson observations show they are good teachers.
UCU members are balloting for strikes to defend the four.
The result will be out on Saturday of this week.
Lecturers plan a further day of action on Saturday of this week, including a protest at the college open day.
