Protesters occupied the offices of the Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH) housing association on Thursday of last week, in opposition to the Tories’ planned bedroom tax.
Up to 10,000 households in social housing across Liverpool could have their benefits docked for having “too many” rooms.
They include the families in some 3,000 of LMH’s 15,000 homes. Its director Angela Forshaw says it might take until 2020 to rehouse them in smaller properties.
