BBC staff walkout set for this Monday

The National Union of Journalists has called a strike across the BBC for Monday of next week.

The date was called after workers voted to strike in December last year. BBC workers are already working to rule in the dispute over compulsory redundancies.

The BBC is seeking to cut millions from its budget by slashing full time staff and attacking conditions.

The union is looking to talks to avert the strike.
