Stop the presses, says journos’ union

More than 80 percent of journalists in a ballot at the Observer and Guardian newspapers have voted for strikes.

The group is intending to cut 100 jobs and save

£7 million as it prioritises

its online platforms.

The union and Guardian managers are in talks at Acas to avert the strikes.
