Hated workfare scheme illegal
The Court of Appeal has ruled that a government scheme to force people to work for free or lose benefits is illegal.
Three judges unanimously ruled on Tuesday of this week that the scheme breached laws banning slavery and forced labour.
Thousands of people could now claim compensation.
